We had another fantastic week in third grade! We continue learning about what “good writers” do when they write. We worked on our brainstorming skills using a story map graphic organizer to help get our thoughts in place. We also discussed some key words: topic, setting, major/ minor characters, plot, events, and ending. We will continue to review these terms throughout the year.
We completed the scientific method unit and have begun our first social studies unit: The Creek and Cherokee Indians. We will be discussing their similarities and differences. All of the students will be making a Creek or Cherokee village as the end of the unit project.
