PTSA General Meetings:

Third Grade Performance is Monday, March 6th. Please have your child report to their classroom no earlier than 6:45pm on Monday night. They need to wear jeans and their class t-shirt. If your child has a special part in the program, he/she may have been told to wear something else. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Unit Focus:
Spelling: Spelling Unit 17
The current word preview will come home with your child on Monday. Spelling test will be Friday. Please help your child study his/her words nightly.
Math: Our current math unit is Geometry. We also continue to work on strategies to solve word problems.
Reading: Please have your child bring in a book (any book on their level) that they wish to read for our reading workshop time. This book will need to travel back and forth from school and home daily. We will use this book during class time and students will be responsible for reading at least 20 minutes at home each night. Please spend some time each night asking questions about the current book your child is reading. The who, what, where, and how questions will help your child retell the story and help him/her with comprehension. Great preparation for the CRCT (only 2 ½ months away).
Health: We just completed our digestive system unit and will begin our mini dental health unit on Monday.
Science: Our next unit will begin with a special project. Your child will be bringing home a yellow lunch sized bag on Monday. Please open it together and see what your special mission is!
